She may felt a bolt from the blue, but she shared that one of her first thoughts was that she was not afraid to die. She further said that it is okay if it was really time for her to go but she started to think about the important people in her life and realized it was not easy because it may be difficult for them. "I'm not afraid to go to heaven, but I would like to stay on earth if I can. If it's my time to go, then I can say that I had a great life," she bravely declared.

After her diagnosis, she sought medical help and was given radiation and chemotherapy treatments. Lewellyn did not allow her illness or treatments to stop her from doing things she enjoys as she carried on with her life while fighting the Big C.

According to Essence, the fashion expert lived a full life and had worked in the fashion world for almost 15 years. Apart from her stint in the Bravo reality program, she was an editor for various style magazines including InStyle, Glamour and Essence. In 2010, she also published a book entitled "Never Pay Retail Again: Shop Smart, Spend Less & Look Your Best Ever."

She was well-loved for being a high-spirited woman who always tackle her life with positive attitude. In fact, many well-known personalities expressed their extreme sadness over the lost of a great and remarkable woman.

Lastly, producers from Bravo TV extended their deepest sympathies to Lewellyn's family and friends. The American cable channel further voiced out how they will miss her "incredible spirit and heart."
