Since DC comics clearly want to conquer the small screen with its release of various TV series based on its superheroes, reports suggests that they would also be reviving "Constantine" but will be shown to a different network.

After the huge success of "Batman versus Superman" in the big screen, and the good ratings of its superhero series in the small screen ("Arrow," "Flash"and "Legends of Tomorrow"), it would not be surprising if DC would try to revive "Constantine," which was initially cancelled by the NBC network.

It has been reported that the reason behind the cancellation is because the show is not doing well in terms of the live ratings. According to the network's officials, their plan was to renew "Constantine" for season 2, but the show just could not compete in the ratings. As a result, it was cancelled by NBC in 2015, MNR Daily reported.

There are speculations now that "Constantine" might be revived by another network, and that network might be CW. It was late 2015 when fans witnessed Matt Ryan playing his superhero role as John Constantine in the "Arrow" series. The fact that several of DC's series like "Arrow" and "Flash" are being aired on the CW network, then John Constantine's appearance in "Arrow" might be an indication that the network may be considering in reviving the show.

On the other hand, it seems like the hope of bringing back "Constantine" in the small screen has faded off, because "Arrow's" executive producer, Marc Guggenheim, revealed that the guesting of Matt Ryan as John Constantine in the series has long been planned even before NBC cancelled "Constantine."

Guggenheim added that Constantine's appearance is only a one-shot deal, and that fans may never see Constantine again on "Arrow," Comic Book Resources reported.

As of the moment, there is still no firm information that "Constantine" will be revived by CW or some other network; however, there are speculations that "Constantine" might replace "Arrow" if this show would end at some point in time.

However, it is said that this might not happen in the near future as "Arrow" is certainly doing well in the ratings. Fans of "Constantine" are still hopeful though that their favorite show would return, regardless of the network it will be at.
