"I'm excited about making one more sweep around the world," Rogers said in a statement obtained by the country music website. Rogers said he was grateful to his loyal followers.

The "Crazy" singer said in the statement, his final tour will be a "celebration" of all his music. Adding that "each night will be truly special." Rogers said the support of his fans had meant a lot to him through his years in the industry.

Meanwhile, in an interview with The Guardian in 2015, Rogers spoke about his retirement. In addition, he also made known his thoughts on presidential hopeful Donald Trump.

The "Lady" singer said in the interview that he loved what Trump had to say. "He can be president and not owe anybody anything," Rogers told the publication. He said he felt Trump was the only candidate that had the "guts" to do what he says.

The singer also told the publication that not many in his family shared his political views. Rogers said his older children found his views humorous, adding that he was sure they would vote for Hillary Clinton.

While discussing his retirement plans, he told the publication he felt his career made him unavailable to his family. "I think I was selfish  when I was younger," Rogers said. He said he felt he had accomplished everything he wanted to.

The Country Music Hall Of Fame member said he wants to be a "good father" to his young children. Rogers has six children from his five marriages.
