If reports are anything to go by, T-Mobile's Galaxy Note 5 and Telus's Galaxy S6 are now receiving the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update.
According to latest reports, the mobile carrier T-Mobile is currently rolling out the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update to the Samsung Galaxy Note 5.
The latest update brings many new features to the Samsung phablet. The Android 6.0.1 update, which is 1.4GB in size, comes with the firmware version N920TUVV2DPD1.
In addition, the update includes April's Security patch for Android and it has been released as an OTA update.
According to reports, other T-Mobile consumers are reporting that the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update has started landing for the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.
The Note 5, which was released in August 2015, is powered by Exynos 7420 processor. The phablet packs 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, Digital Trends reported. Furthermore, it has a 5-MP front shooter for selfies and a 16 MP rear-facing camera. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has a 5.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 pixels x 2560 pixels.
The device has a 3000mAh non removable battery and measures 153.20mm x 76.10mm x 7.60mm.
Connectivity options of the Samsung device include NFC, Wi-Fi, 4G, Bluetooth and GPS. Sensors on the phablet include accelerometer, proximity sensor, gyroscope and ambient light sensor.
Meanwhile, Telus' Galaxy S6 Marshmallow update is now available as an OTA update in Canada, according to a report from SamMobile.
Users who have the aforementioned devices on the right carriers can expect the over-the-air update notification to land anytime on their smartphone. Users can also check for the Android Marshmallow update manually by going to Settings > About device > Software update.
The Galaxy S6 sports a 5.1-inch screen that supports a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels.
It has 3GB of RAM and is powered by Exynos 7420 processor. Other features of the Samsung Galaxy S6 include a 5 MP front shooter, 32GB of internal storage, a 2550mAh non removable battery and a 16 MP primary camera on the rear.
Connectivity options of Galaxy S6 include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS and 4G. Sensors include ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, gyroscope and accelerometer.
