It has been confirmed that Jang Hyun-Seung is no longer part of the k-pop group, Beast aka B2ST, leaving the band with only five members.

On April 19, Tuesday, Cube Entertainment confirmed Jang's exit in a press released statement, stating that the singer has left the boy band in order to embark on a solo music career and stressed that the former Beast member will remain as an artist in the agency.

The news was announced following rumors saying that the tensions have flared between the 26-year-old star and co-members after Jang reportedly shows hesitance to take part in several group activities, including fan meetings and concerts, and additionally, due to his alleged "unprofessional" behavior.

The entertainment label, on the other hand, seemed to confirm these speculations as they cited "differences in personality that began with different opinions on music" is the apparent reason behind Jang's sudden exit. Since then, it has been reported that Jang has continued to express his desire to concentrate on making his music as a solo artist and not as a member of Beast.

"After long deliberation between all the members, it was agreed that the group would part company with Jang Hyunseung and the team would be reorganized," Cube Entertainment said in a statement acquired by Soompi. "This decision was not easy for the members, company, or anyone."

Jang first came out to the spotlight when he met future fellow band members, Yang Yo Seob, while they were working as dancers for a show. It has been learned that Yang persuaded him to join the entertainment label, leading to him debuting with Beast as a vocalist. He also made his name known through his solo album, "My," which had more influences on hip-hop and pop culture in his preference.

Nonetheless, the entertainment label expressed that they will be supporting Jang's transition from being a member of Beast to being a solo artist, and at the same time, the forthcoming activities by Beast. In spite of the restructuring, the boy band would still carry on with its local and overseas promotions, particularly now that they are set to release their comeback album, SBS has learned.
