"Jane the Virgin" season 2 will not necessarily see Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Michael (Brett Dier) tying the knot.

In the previous episode, Jane and Michael had their respective sendoff parties before their wedding day. However, it seems that only the wedding rehearsal will be part of the show's upcoming finale episode.

While speaking with TV Line, entertainment writer Michael Ausiello said that "Chapter Fourty-Four" will only see Jane, Michael and their family and friends practicing for the couple's big day.

Ausiello added that a middle-aged Latino actor will guest star to play the role of Father Felipe or Jane and Michael's priest. Father Felipe is not necessarily pleased with the fact that Michael will be late for rehearsals.

The very strict priest is known for wanting all of the weddings he will attend to be perfect.

As of late, it is unclear why exactly will Michael be late for rehearsals. There are some speculations that the character could suffer from cold feet.

One fan @Nicole believes that Jane and Michael's wedding won't actually push through.

"I'm curious to see whether Jane and Michael actually end up getting married on Jane the Virgin. I feel like it can't happen because if they get married, Jane will no longer be a virgin and they would have to change the title of the show. I'm still holding out hope for Jane and Rafael, even though I feel like they've barely had any scenes together at all lately."

Another fan @Brandy Danforth wrote, "The showrunner said Jane losing her virginity is imminent & when/if it happens, they put a one through The Virgin in the title. But I agree I see something disrupting Jane & Michael's wedding."

One fan @Catherine Wood believes that Michael is up to no good - at least on his wedding rehearsal day.

"If he shows up, could Michael be up to something? But surely the writers of this show wouldn't put up Michael in any danger of becoming an interesting character? If something doesn't change between Jane and Michael soon this show is going to die!"

"Jane the Virgin" season 2 airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
