New details were revealed in regards to what fans can expect from Huawei's new flagship smartphone - Honor V8. In addition, Honor V8 is not just the highlight of the event, as Huawei will be introducing another smartphone aimed for women.

According to Gizbot, since Huawei has been successful in attracting consumers with the launch of Huawei P series - Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus - the biggest Chinese smartphone player is now ready to launch a killer smartphone under its sub-brand, Honor.

Since the Chinese tech giant Huawei will hold an event on May 10, the company is expected to showcase the Huawei Honor V8, which is a successor to the company's Honor 7 variant. The news came after Huawei released some teaser images thru the company's Weibo account, where it showcases two lenses projecting the V8 name.

If the images where to be translated, Huawei followers may see dual camera lenses on the much anticipated Honor V8, which was first seen on Huawei P9. Aside from the 12MP dual camera lenses, Huawei Honor V8 is rumored to be equipped with 4GB of RAM, fingerprint sensor for added security and Kirin 950 64- bit Octa-core SoC.

According to VR Zone, Honor V8, which has a codename of "Knight" internally, is also expected to feature 5.5 inch 1080p screen display, 3000mAh, 8MP selfie shooter and a USB Type-C port for fast charging. In terms of the price, Honor V8 is expected to be priced at CNY 2,000 in the Chinese market, which is equivalent to an estimated $308 based on the current exchange rate.

Nevertheless, fans would just need to wait for Huawei to unveil Honor V8 on May 10 and decide whether to purchase one in the future or not.

Meanwhile, aside from unveiling Honor V8, it is said that Huawei also plans to release Honor 7i's successor - Honor 8i. According to reports, Honor 8i is made specifically for women. It is said that Honor 8i will feature a rotating or folding camera that can either be used as rear-facing or selfie snapper. Based on the previous model, Honor 8i may likely feature two storage variants - one with 16GB ROM, 2GB RAM and the other with 32GB ROM, 3GB RAM.

Since the new Honor 8i is aimed for women, speculations suggest that aside from color variants of Black, White and Gold, the smartphone will be offered in Pink or Rose Gold. Furthermore, since Honor 7i lacks support for 4G LTE, Honor 8i is said to finally come with it.
