"The Flash" season 2 will see Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Hunter Zolomon (Teddy Sears) going head-to-head again.

In the previous episode, Zoom took away Barry's speed which means that the latter lost his superpowers.

While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Sears said that the two male characters will have another major battle. The actor added that it would be an exciting one because it would reveal whether or not Barry could take back his speed from the villainous character.

"The final showdown is mano-a-mano, Barry vs. Hunter. Because we haven't shot it yet, I don't even have a picture, but what's on the page, it proves to be epic in the truest sense of the word. It should be very fun and very satisfying for the viewers," he said.

Meanwhile, even though it is still unclear whether or not Barry would get his speed back anytime soon, the teaser for the upcoming episode confirmed that he will still try his best to protect Central City.

With the arrival of Griffin Grey (Haig Sutherland), Barry will do everything he can to ensure that the former wouldn't be able to hurt anyone especially those close to him.

After all, the superhero just went through a tough time the week before when Hunter kidnapped Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale).

In other news, the upcoming episode of "The Flash" season 2 will also feature Wally asking his father Joe (Jesse L. Martin) about some information regarding The Flash.

At present, Wally still does not have any idea that Barry and The Flash is one and the same person. However, the former will feel extremely guilty for being the main reason why The Flash had to give his speed away to Hunter.

In the teaser released by The CW, Wally told Joe, "Look, I've been reckless my whole life, racing cars, pushing limits, doing everything at full speed without care in the world. It wasn't until Zoom took me that I really thought I was going to die. And I was going to die if The Flash didn't do what he did."

"The Flash" season 2 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
