F(x)'s Victoria has confessed that she is daunted by the pressure of living up to people's expectations when following in the footsteps of Jun Ji Hyun in the sequel film, "My New Sassy Girl."

In an interview with Chinas' Sina Entertainment, as cited by Soompi, the 29-year-old singer has opened up about how she feels about being the star of the upcoming romantic comedy film. She admitted that it is pressuring to star in the new film, considering that it is a sequel to the one that Ji Hyun previously starred in 2001's "My Sassy Girl" and made it one of the most astounding grossing Korean comedies of all time.

"[Jun Ji Hyun's effect] on the movie is a big pressure for me," Victoria said. "However, this is a new step for me. I believe I have the strength to overcome [the pressure]."

The Chinese actress went ahead to reveal the factors on why she chose to star in the film. According to Victoria, portraying and expressing the female lead character did not stress her out considering that the story was not quite the same as the first "My Sassy Girl."

"I liked the story. It fit well with me and I believed it was a good chance for me," Victoria added. She also revealed that it is her debut movie in Korea.

The upcoming sequel movie recounts the story of Gyun Woo (Cha Tae Hyun), who is experiencing difficulty forgetting the sassy girl, gets reunited with his childhood sweetheart (Victoria) who recently go back to Korea from China. The film will explore the romance and problems after the two get married in spite of the opposition of many, The Korea Times reported.

Budgeted at CN¥32 million ($4,919,520), the film was released in 7,000 screens in China on April 22, Friday, and is scheduled for a release in South Korea on May 5. Other star-studded casts include Bae Seong Woo, Mina Fujii, Choi Jin Ho and Song Bo Eun with South Korean film director Jo Geun Sik at the helm.
