Many rumors have emerged about "Pokémon Sun and Moon" since the titles were announced in February. The latest speculations have it that the two titles slated for a release during the holiday season of this year may indeed be remakes for "Pokémon Red and Blue."

While it may not sound rational, there is a hint that the upcoming games are just remakes of "Pokémon Red" and "Pokémon Blue," according to Bidness. According to the source, "Sun" is related to fire that is red, something that points towards "Pokémon Sun" being "Pokémon Red."

While the moon is not blue in color, it affects the seas that are actually blue. In case the theory is true, the Pokémon drawn on the box art for "Pokémon Sun and Moon" could be Charizard and Blastoise, or mega evolutions.

Furthermore, the publication believes that "Pokémon Sun and Moon" are just remakes based on the number of Pokémon in the much-awaited games. It was reported that the titles would include 10 new Pokémon, which is very few for an entire new Pokémon game.

Before "Pokémon Sun and Moon" were announced earlier this year, their names leaked a few days ahead of the official announcement. It seems the trend may be repeating itself since keen NeoGAF Watch Da Birdie spotted a clue as to what the new legendaries will be called.

Birdie had a quick flip through the recently registered trademarks in Japan, and he discovered two beautiful entries purportedly listed by Game Freak: Solgaleo and Lunaala, which blend perfectly with the "Sun and Moon" themes. If the leaks turn out to be true, the game's creature will be some sort of lion - possibly the first legendary lion Pokémon since Entei that appeared in "Pokémon Gold and Silver."

There are rumors that the leaked names allude to a Spanish setting, with "sol" referring to sun, "leon" meaning lion, "Luna" implying moon, and "ala" meaning wing. Furthermore, the game director, Junichi Masuda, visited Spain in 2014 and reported the trip on his blog.

However, none of these rumors has been confirmed by the Pokémon Company, and therefore, fans should take this information with a pinch of salt. Watch the sneak peek below for more information on the upcoming games.
