"Limitless" Season 2, episode 1 expected air date and spoilers

"Limitless" Season 1, episode 1 aired on Sep. 22, 2015 on CBS. The network has not yet announced any official air date for the second Season or revealed if the show has been renewed for a new season or not. However, it is speculated that "Limitless" Season 2, episode 1 will air in the last week of September 2016.

After the two-part finale, Season 2 of the show is set to showcase things differently, Sweeney told IGN.

"So, we're going to make some changes to the show, but it will remain essentially -- we do find a way for it to be Brian taking NZT working with Rebecca and Boyle and a couple new members on the team, solving crimes and having fun a week-to-week basis. So despite the current state of things at the end of "Finale: Part One!" at the end of the season, we are in a different place, but not as radically different as it feels like what we're in right now," Sweeney said.

About "Limitless" Season 1 "Finale: Part Two!!" Sweeney revealed that Sands has escaped and the most important problem for the FBI to deal with is Sands and his folks.

The showrunner added that FBI would continue to prove that Senator Eddie Morra has been using NZT, however, they will have to deal with the urgent threat that presented itself at the end of "Limitless" Season 1 "Finale: Part One!"

Meanwhile, during the interview, Sweeney said that his goal has been to "tell a complete story in Season 1 and a complete story in Season 2." He added that by doing this the viewers will have chapters as complete seasons of "Limitless."
