The information for the casting revealed that "The Walking Dead" is currently in search of an African-American male actor around the age of 40. Characteristics were described as, "an eccentric, charismatic and kind leader that projects a regal air of confidence and wisdom to his people."

Meanwhile, the information for the casting call also revealed that whoever will be cast for the role will be part of "The Walking Dead" for the entire season 7. The actor should also be willing to wear elaborate types of clothing that may seem off to outsiders.

According to Design N Trend, the open casting call didn't reveal which character is up for auditions. However, the publication believes that the description written on the page is reflective of Ezekiel's appearance and characteristics.

"In the printed narrative, he leads a group called the Kingdom with his bizarre and princely attitude. He befriends Rick Grimes and is essential to taking on Negan's forces shortly after the iconic villain makes his presence known. Considering Negan debuted in this month's finale, it seems reasonable to think that Ezekiel isn't too far behind," the publication claimed.

Additionally, there was one scene from "The Walking Dead" season 6 that might have hinted on the arrival of Ezekiel. During the scene, Morgan and Rick chanced upon an armor-clad man who was riding a horse. This is how the people from the Kingdom typically look like and their king is none other than Ezekiel himself.

There have also been some hints on social media regarding Ezekiel's arrival. After all, those who are involved with the series have been posting the character's photo.

Executive producer Scott M. Gimple was also asked as to whether or not the Kingdom and Ezekiel would be a part of season 7. However, his cryptic response went something like this, "If it were happening I wouldn't tell you."

"The Walking Dead" season 7 will premiere on AMC in the next few months.
