New leaks suggest that Apple is focusing more on developing iPhone 8 than it is on iPhone 7. iPhone users may want to lower their expectations for this year's iPhone 7 release, as it appears that the company is more interested in punching up the upgrades on 2017's iPhone 8.

Apple info leaker Kuo Ming-chi revealed that the tech company plans to implement major design changes to the iPhone 8, in celebration of the iPhone's 10-year anniversary in 2017, Forbes reported. The 2017 model will boast an all-glass body similar to the iPhone 4, which is still regarded as the best iPhone in terms of design and aesthetic. The insider also shared there is possibility that aluminum will be completely taken out of the design, making the iPhone 8 stand out with its full glass exterior.

Moreover, the iPhone 8, which reportedly ends the "S" line for Apple smartphones, will feature an AMOLED display.

On the other hand, rumors suggest that the iPhone 7 is packed with a dual rear camera setup similar to that of the LG G5 and Huawei P9. It has also been reported that Apple will remove the earphone jack on the iPhone 7. As for the exteriors, it is said that the iPhone 7 will most likely have the same appearance as the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s.

Meanwhile, the iPhone Upgrade Program is now available online through Apple's online store. Through this program, users can trade in their old iPhones to upgrade to the iPhone 6s or 6s Plus after paying 12 monthly installment fees.

The price for the iPhone 6s starts at around $32 a month, while the 6s Plus is priced at around $36. The package also comes with a free two-year AppleCare+ service. According to CNET, Apple launched the program to veer away from the older practicing of subsidizing purchase prices for the iPhone. The company aims to attract customers to their products every year without forcing them to pay the full price upfront.

The phones sold through the iPhone Upgrade Program are unlocked and users are free to select their own mobile carrier.
