According to reports, several devices from HTC, LG and Samsung are beginning to get the Android Marshmallow update. Now, BlackBerry Priv is receiving the Marshmallow update.

In 2015, the BlackBerry Priv was launched with pre-installed Android 5.1.The Android M update for the device was rolled out after weeks of beta testing. The testing is important to know the compatibility of the software to the handset.

Unlocked BlackBerry Priv owners can now update their devices. BlackBerry Priv users under Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T will have to wait till May 9 to get a taste of the latest update.

Unlocked BlackBerry Priv owners who have not got a notification update should check for it by going to Settings>About>System update>Check for update. Also, owners should make sure that they are connected to Wi-Fi.

Reports suggest that the security of the system and privacy is now improved. In addition, the Android Marshmallow update includes Android security patch.  There are additional enhancements to battery performance, camera features, BlackBerry Hub, BlackBerry Keyboard and BlackBerry Launcher.

Now, owners can digitally sign and encrypt the emails for extra online security. Now, the BlackBerry keyboard comes with more emojis and better predictive typing.
 
Android Marshmallow update brings improved security features, smooth user interface and innovative apps. In addition, the update improves the battery life of handsets through its Doze feature, Digital Trends reported.

Meanwhile, according to a report from 9to5 Google, for Verizon consumers, Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is starting its rollout for the Motorola Droid Turbo 2. Motorola's David Schuster has said that the update is in full deployment.

The Android M update is being released automatically, therefore, an over-the-air notification will be received and the download will proceed. Owners can check if the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is available manually.

The build version of Android Marshmallow update is 24.14.12. The update will roll out in two phases. The first update notification will update the build version to 23.31.24 and the final update notification will install the complete version of Android Marshmallow.

The recent rollout of the Android M for the device is the scheduled full version release. According to reports, the earlier rollout reached a percentage of Droid Turbo 2 handsets because it is a soak test.
