There are reports that the return of Sameen Shaw, played by Sarah Shahi, will be odd, in a way that the team is highly disturbed with her psychological state. It can be remembered that Shaw was captured by the Samaritans back in "Person of Interest" season 4, which is why her return is going to be loud and may set an awkward situation between her and the rest of the team's members.

Reports also claim that Reese, played by Jim Caviezel, and Finch, played by Michael Emerson, will be successful in saving the source code of the Machine in the pilot episode of "Person of Interest" season 5.

Meanwhile, in regards to the mental state of Shaw, the showrunner of the series, Greg Plageman, said during his interview with TV Insider that Reese and the rest of the team will try to figure out why Shaw is behaving oddly after escaping from the Samaritans. Plageman hinted that the character may have been reprogrammed or maybe brainwashed by her captors.

On the other hand, the other executive producer of the show, Denise Thé, said upon her interview with TV Line that viewers will witness various turning points in "Person of Interest" Season 5. Perhaps, knowing that it is reportedly the show's final season, it would be unlikely to not reveal what has to be revealed.

Fans have waited a year for "Person of Interest" Season 5, and now that it is finally coming back in the small screen, its supporters could not help it but to scavenge every single information related to the show. Meanwhile, "Person of Interest" Season 5 is expected to return on CBS next week, specifically on May 3, and will air its pilot episode titled "B.S.O.D.", or blue screen of death.
