Borussia Monchengladbach is at the fourth spot of the current league table and holds the fourth and final qualifying berth for the UEFA Champions League next season. They are tied on points with fifth-running team Hertha Berlin, but they have a superior goal difference of +14 compared to capital city team's +1, with two matchdays left in the present term.

It would be crucial for head coach André Schubert's boys to win their last two games if they want to keep their slot in Europe's premier club continental tournament next season.

Die Fohlen forced defending champions Bayern Munich to a 1-1 tie during their most recent German top flight match held at the Allianz Arena last Saturday, as reported by BBC Sport.

World Cup-winning winger Thomas Müller opened the scoring at the sixth minute as Pep Guardiola's boys tried to win their fourth consecutive Meisterschale. However, the Borussians equalized the count at the 72nd courtesy of a right-footed strike from midfielder Andre Hahn.

Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen overpowered Hertha, 2-1, in their match at the BayArena last Saturday, as per ESPN.

A quick goal from winger Julian Brandt right at the second minute of the match gave the hosts the early lead. Team captain Lars Bender then added another one to double it at the 16th minute.

Die Alte Dame was able to cut the lead at the 21st via a header from center box by forward Vedad Ibisevic, but both teams went goalless for the rest of the way as manager Roger Schmidt's boys nailed their sixth straight win.

Bayer is currently at the third spot of the league table, eight points ahead of Monchengladbach and Hertha.

The predicted result is another 2-1 decision for Bayer Leverkusen.
