Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow in hit HBO series "Game of Thrones," has recently revealed that his appearance in the sixth season was such a closely guarded secret that his character became one "who cannot be named" on the set.

Harington was speaking during an interview when he disclosed that his character's revival was kept so much under wraps that no one was allowed to even utter the name Jon Snow on the set. Not only the name was kept off from the season 6's script, it could not be written on wardrobe notes, scene breakdowns, call sheets and even prop materials.

"No one was allowed to say 'Jon Snow' on set, ever, everyone had to refer to me as 'LC'," the 29-year-old actor told Entertainment Weekly, referring to his character's title, Lord Commander. The declaration came soon after his character was finally shown being resurrected by Melisandre in the final moments of the show's recent episode,"Home".

The actor also appeared apologetic as he admitted that he had to lie to everyone about the fate of his character in Season 6. It appears that apart from filming for the ongoing season, he had carried an added responsibility to pretend off-the-camera that he was no more part of the show.

However, Harington was admittedly happy that the viewers raised a hue and cry over his character's murder since he was afraid that people might actually not care. He also declared that the viewer's over-the-top reaction did prove that the show is on the right track.

Harington also proudly declared that not only Snow is back, he is more involved now with the show than ever as it is his "massive season." Snow's revival was heavily suspected among the fans after photos of the actor shooting in Belfast leaked online last year.

Meanwhile, Harington's naked pictures leaked into internet following his performance in a play in London. He had to pose on stage throughout the performance wearing nothing more than underwear, but at one point he flashed his bare buttocks to the audience who were quick to capture the same in their phone cameras and circulate the same online, Mirror reported.

"Game of Thrones" Season 6 continues on Sundays at 9 PM ET/PT on HBO. Watch the preview of episode 3 below:
