There have been several leaks and rumors circulating about the new smartphone line. It is expected that the specs would still be on the higher end of the midrange spectrum with a price that won't break the bank.

One of the interesting Zenfone 3 specs is the 2.5D glass for its display. This means that the phone will have rounded edges similar to the Samsung Galaxy S7.

For the display, it would still have a FHD resolution of 1920 x 1080. However, some are expecting that ASUS would bump it up to QuadHD or 2K considering that it would be an upgrade over its predecessors.

Another interesting leaked info regarding the Zenfone 3 is that it will have a fingerprint scanner, according to GSMArena. Since it would most likely run the Android 6.0 Marshmallow version, the fingerprint sensor would work well with it especially with Android Pay compatibility.

The new smartphone line would also feature the new USB Type-C connectors that would allow for faster charging and data transfer speeds. Unlike the Zenfone 2, the leaked renders show that the new line could sport an all-metal design.

ASUS is now expected to unveil the Zenfone 3 at their Zenvolution event on May 30, according to Android Headlines. It is a day before Computex 2016, where the company would most likely feature demo models of the new smartphones.

Interested customers can take a look at their event which will be held in Taipei at 2PM CST. ASUS could put up live streaming on their YouTube account for viewers across the globe.

It looks like the new smartphone lines would still be powered by Intel chips, but that seems to be bad news considering that the company is dropping their current roster of microprocessors for mobile phones. Nevertheless, ASUS would not release smartphones that wouldn't have support from the start.

Fans will have to wait for the official Zenfone 3 unveiling on May 30 at the Zenvolution event. ASUS would most likely confirm the specs, features and the final release date for their new flagship line of Android phones.
