Ryback is one of the most physically-imposing wrestlers in the history of the WWE. However, he has never made it past the midcard status and could be released from his contract after failing to reach a new deal with the company.

According to Cageside Seats, Ryback's release looks imminent since all of his merchandise has been moved to the sale section of the WWE Shop. He has a contract until the summer and the WWE could just let it expire.

The WWE could also just release him from his contract or Ryback may reach an agreement to get his release earlier. The latter is what King Barrett did last week as his contract was also about to expire this July but agreed to be released at an earlier date.

The former Intercontinental champion was supposed to take part on the Battle Royal to determine the No. 1 contender for the United States championship. However, he was sent home by top WWE officials after not agreeing on a new contract.

Ryback took to Tumblr his explanation regarding his WWE status and expressed his frustrations regarding his pay. He mentioned a lot of things including putting other wrestlers over, the direction of his character on television and working hard just like the top guys but not getting the right pay.

"Being told no matter how hard I work or how good I get doesn't always pay off is something I f***ing refuse to ever believe in my life. I am a creative being and to be restricted time and time again is no way to live life," Ryback wrote.

According to F4WOnline, the frustration of WWE's Big Guy started at "WrestleMania 32" when his U.S. title match against Kalisto was relegated into the pre-show. He then received a rematch at "Payback" but it was again part of the pre-show.

Ryback has also expressed his dissatisfactions about money in a recent interview in Dubai. He hinted that he might leave the WWE and work for other wrestling promotions in the world like Ring of Honor, TNA Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling.

The 34-year-old wrestler started his wrestling career as a participant in the WWE's $1 million Tough Enough challenge using his real name Ryan Reeves. He was one of the final eight participants along with current WWE superstar The Miz and eventual winner, Daniel Puder.

Reeves spent six years in the WWE developmental system before making his main roster debut as Skip Sheffield. He was part of the Nexus storyline before being repackaged as his Ryback character in 2012.
