After Europe, other countries such as Ireland and Hungary are next in line to receive the update. There are also reports that network carriers Swisscom, A1 and Vodafone are rolling out the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update in Austria.

A few months ago, the Android Marshmallow update was rolled out to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with the model number N910C. This Exynos-based device had been the frontrunner for the update because it had been released before the other models.

This is the final phase of releasing the Android Marshmallow update for all the models of Samsung Note 4. Other variants of the device, which are locked with the various network carriers like T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular and AT&T have already received the update a few weeks ago.

The Android Marshmallow update is over 1GB in size and should be downloaded over a secure and fast Wi-Fi connection. Alternatively, the update can also be downloaded over a stable data network and the device should be connected to a power source if the battery levels are less than 50 percent.

Android Marshmallow has support for Android Pay, which uses biometric security for authentication purposes. The update also has a new widget drawer, new Settings layout and supports vertical scrolling. It also has numerous advanced options like Doze and Standby, which conserves the battery life of the device, according to BGR.

In other news, various Samsung Galaxy devices such as Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus have received the Android Marshmallow update. The company has also released the update for the Note series, particularly Note 5 and Note Edge. Unfortunately, the Galaxy Note 3 users will not receive the Android Marshmallow update due to hardware incompatibility issues.
