New images of the awaited Moto X smartphone have surfaced online showing a massive 5.5-inch display and fairly curved edges design. There is also a home button below the screen, which is surrounded by a square metal ring that houses the fingerprint sensor.

This means that the home button will act as the fingerprint sensor as well. For the screen, the tipster told Mobi Picker that the display of the device will be an AMOLED panel featuring Moto's Shattershield protection.

In the leaks, the prototype is covered with a protective film with a message that reads "Motorola confidential property not for sale." This is proof that the prototype is official and has been leaked out by a source inside the company.

The new leaked Moto X images are almost similar to the renders leaked earlier by HelloMotoHK a few days ago and the image of the device's rear in the very first leak. Therefore, the design of the phone is now confirmed and the only hidden features are the specs themselves.

According to India Today, two variants of the Moto X 2016 are expected and their codenames are Vertex and Vector. Vertex will be a regular mainstream phone while Vector will be the premium version, which, according to analysts, has a likelihood of carrying a hefty price tag.

According to the publication, Lenovo, which owns the Motorola brand, is planning to position the new Moto X Smartphones as premium devices packing cutting-edge technology. As a consequence, fans can expect a price tag of up to $750 for the superior Moto X model.

Some of the prospected specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 running at a clock speed of 3GZ for the Vector. Meanwhile, the Vertex will make use of a Snapdragon 625, which will run a speed of 2.4 GHz.

For the camera, the Vector will pack a 13-Megapixel camera with optical image stabilization feature. The regular version, on the other hand, will have a 16-Megapixel camera without OIS. In both camera departments, there are expectations of laser-assisted focus as well as phase-detect focus.

The internal storages will range from 16GB to 32GB, with the Moto X variant determining the size. The Vector will come with a small 2600mAh battery, owing to its 5.2 slim dimensions whereas the Vertex will carry a 3500mAh one.

Both Moto X variants will be launched on June 9. Here is a video showing Moto X's features:
