"Nashville" season 4 has already been cancelled by ABC, but fans should know that there's a huge finale episode awaiting them.

Following the show's cancellation, lead star Connie Britton took her thoughts to Instagram to thank all of the supporters of their show for their support.

"I'd just like to say it's been my honor to be a part of this world, to live in it and breathe it in and try to replicate it. Sometimes we were more successful than others. But the place of Nashville in my heart is so deep and permanent. I am grateful for the hard work and faith of so many who dedicated themselves to creating and supporting this show. And I am forever changed for the better. Thanks for the music," she wrote.

Meanwhile, there are still two more episodes left until the finale episode of "Nashville" season 4.

According to TV Line, the last episode will feature a major cliffhanger that will leave fans guessing as to what will happen to some of their favorite characters. Unfortunately, this information will forever remain a mystery since the show has not been renewed for season 5.

TV writer Michael Ausiello revealed that the name Jeff Fordham will be repeated several times. Additionally, there will also be a budding romance in the last episode.

On the contrary, there will also be one couple who recently had a falling out that will most likely find themselves in each other's arm again.

In other news, a more shocking twist will have to do with Maddie (Lennon Stella). According to Ausiello, there is a chance that the young woman will be run over by a truck.

By the looks of it, Maddie's storyline could be "Nashville" season four's biggest cliffhanger because no one will ever know whether or not she will survive from the accident.

As of late, none of these spoilers and rumors have been confirmed by the staff and crew of "Nashville" season 4.

The series also stars Hayde Panettiere, Clare Bowen, Sam Palladio, Jonathan Jackso, Chris Carmack and Charles Esten.

"Nashville" season 4 airs Wednesdays on ABC.
