"The Flash" season two's finale episode is expected to see Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) going head-to-head with the villainous character Zoom (Teddy Sears).

In the previous episode, Barry's father Henry was killed by Zoom. With this, the superhero would do everything in his power to his father the justice that he deserves.

While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Aaron Helbing said that said that Barry won't stop at anything before he can finally take down Zoom.

"After finally learning Zoom's real plan, Barry embarks on the race of his life to try and stop Zoom once and for all," he said.

Helbing added that Barry will use his arsenal, as well as some of the tricks that he himself learned from Zoom to prevent what the latter could potentially do to destroy an earth-shattering event.

The exec also said that there will be a surprise ending or a shocking twist towards the end of "The Flash" season two's finale episode.

In other news, Gustin recently spoke with TV Line to dish on what fans can expect from "The Flash" season 3.

According to the actor, Barry will continue to be optimistic despite all of the challenges that have come his way in the previous season.

"The thing about Barry Allen, The Flash is he is a very optimistic character and his kind of way of life is to keep moving forward and to stay as positive as possible and I wouldn't imagine we're gonna lose that. I think it'll be harder for him going into season 3, but I think we'll still see Barry fighting for his optimism and trying to move on," he said.

Meanwhile, Allen also talked about Barry and Iris West's (Candice Patton) relationship.

According to him, there's a possibility that Barry's move in the finale episode could leave an impact on his relationship with Iris and the rest of their team. Whether or not this impact will be positive is something that fans need to watch out for next season.

"The Flash" season 2 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
