"Preacher" Season 1, episode 2 spoilers and synopsis
According to the synopsis, a mysterious duo is after Jesse as he tries to be a good preacher in the church. Also, the new episode is set to introduce the enigmatic Cowboy.
"Jesse tries to be a "good preacher," unaware that a mysterious duo is after him. Meanwhile, the enigmatic Cowboy is introduced," reads the official synopsis for "Preacher" Season 1, episode 2.
In the "Pilot" episode of "Preacher" Season 1, a strange object crashes into a preacher in Africa. As soon as it comes in contact with the man, he transforms into an other-worldly being. However, soon he blasts into pieces and the disciple run for their lives.
Episode 1 of "Preacher" reveals that it is a different take from the comic book, of course, the spirit remains, but the show does bring in changes.
Meanwhile, creator of "Preacher" comic books, Garth Ennis talked to CBS about the adaptation and the TV series.
"Well, short answer is I'm delighted with it. I like how they've grounded the story. Essentially the problem is, if you took "Preacher" and put it on the screen as it stands, not only would the thing be almost unwatchable, overloaded with incredible characters and ghastly situations, but you'd run out material inside a season and a half. And of course, they want it to last much longer than that," Ennis said about the adaptation.
