Maddie Ziegler and Mackenzie Ziegler will leave the Lifetime reality show "Dance Moms" after the upcoming episode titled "Maddie and Mackenzie Say Goodbye." The episode is scheduled to air on Tuesday, May 24. There are reports that before the Ziegler sisters say their goodbyes, ALDC coach Abby Lee Miller will have an opportunity to give the two young dancers a send-off.
After the goodbye episode, Maddie will be moving on to become a judge in Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation" that premieres this month, according to Yahoo. In addition, mother Melissa Ziegler Gisoni is set to leave the show after Season 6.
The Tuesday episode will feature the most memorable and best times of Maddie and Mackenzie throughout their stay on the show. Similarly, the episode will focus on their relationship with Coach Miller in a different perspective.
Apparently, the young dancers are leaving the show after their mother made such a decision. According to Gisoni, it might now be the right time for them to explore the world beyond the dance reality TV series. While the mother made such a decision, she remains grateful for everything that the show host has done for the young dancers.
Despite the fact that the two are exiting the show, there are chances that they will work with Miller in other projects. In fact, the "Dance Moms" coach teased that it is likely that she and Maddie will get to work together someday.
In a statement as quoted by the same publication, Miller said, "Hopefully, wink wink. She's still at my studio. That's never going to change. But hopefully were going to be working on another project that you might just see on your television screen [or] even your computer screen in the future. Keep your fingers crossed."
Even after the exit of Maddie and Mackenzie, "Dance Moms" will still return for a seventh installment. However, it seems the show will lose viewership and ratings given that the two young dancers had become fan-favorites. Maddie's avid fans are hoping that their favorite dancer will return in future installment of "Dance Moms," Bustle reported.
