Since Samsung revealed its 10-nanometer 6 GB mobile dynamic RAM at Samsung Mobile Solutions Forum last week, speculations already circulated that this new type of RAM will be used in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 6. Although the Korean tech giant did not yet confirm anything about this, rumors can't seem to stop regarding this possibility and another possibility that Samsung may consider adding an iris scanner to the new device.

In case the 6 GB RAM improvement is included in the Galaxy Note 6, it is expected it will allow the new device to have better battery life and enhance its overall performance. Other new and improved technologies discussed by Samsung during the forum are improvements to AMOLED technology, use of dual pixel image sensors, other charging technologies, wireless Wi-Fi modules and faster UFS built-in memory, Droid Life noted.

The same report also took note of the most probable features the Galaxy Note 6 will have such as a 5.8" AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 823 processor, a USB type-c and IP68 water resistance. Australia Network News, on the other hand, reported that the upcoming phablet will be sporting a 4,000 mAh battery and also speculated that the Note 6 might not release an Edge version this year. This is not the case for Gadgets 360 as it reported a Galaxy Note 6 Edge variant will most likely be launched simultaneously with the Note 6. It can be recalled that an Edge version for the Note 5 was not included last year. Several reports suggested that Samsung may have had a difficult time last year on the compatibility of the Edge panel and the phone's stylus.

Since finger print scanning has become one of the most common features of devices today, Samsung has reportedly been considering the use of an iris scanner that they might incorporate in Note 6 since this new feature has not yet been used by majority. In terms of release date, the new phablet is expected to be out by September this year, or even earlier, but this has yet to be confirmed by Samsung in the succeeding months.
