The reason for the thicker body is to house its massive 4,000mAh battery which has a 15 percent more capacity than the previous model with 3,500mAh. Though the Galaxy S7 Active which obviously has a bigger built did not get any bigger screen. The 5.1-inch screen size is the same as the Galaxy S6 Active with a Super AMOLED display at 1440 x 2560 pixels.

This smartphone is expected to run faster even with multiple applications running at the same time. Galaxy S7 Active holds the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 with Android's Marshmallow v6.0 operating system. It also has a 4GB RAM and an internal memory selection of either 32GB or 64 GB.

According to Phone Radar, the Galaxy S7 Active may have exciting upgrades both in hardware and software, but there are also downgrades in this soon to be announced smartphone. Aside from it's weight gain, the rear camera will be 12MP only which is much lower than Galaxy S6 Active that has 16MP rear camera.

The Galaxy S7 Active is still dust proof and waterproof at a depth of 1.5 meters which is still a very good feature and another thing that adds more to its value is the new fingerprint sensor that adds security for the user. The Galaxy S7 Active comes with two color options - Black and Gold.

The smartphone will be distributed exclusively for AT&T after its launch on June 10. For now, smartphone users community should keep themselves posted for more updates.
