The audience was left mesmerized by their performance as the two lovebirds kept their eyes locked into each other throughout their act on the stage. Soon, it was confirmed that the couple will again perform on the same song at the Billboards Music Awards 2016.

On Ellen DeGeneres' Show, Shelton revealed how he first initiated writing the song to impress Stefani at first. The show host asked him if it was strange for him to perform the breakup song with his current girlfriend and "Make Me Like You" singer Stefani.

"When we wrote the song, we never saw it going there. I don't know that we ever really saw it going anywhere," Shelton told DeGeneres. "I only started the song to impress her; to be like, 'Hey, I'm writing a song about you.'"

The lyrics of the depicts the emotions that Stefani and Blake had to go through when they broke up with Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert respectively. The song implies how they both recovered from their heartbreak and were left afraid to fall in again for the second time, Taste Of Country has learned.

Apart from his relationship with Stefani and their adorable performance at the Billboards Music Awards 2016, Shelton sang the angry breakup song "She's Got a Way With Words," a song from his upcoming album.

Shelton and Stefani fell in love on the sets of "The Voice," where they met last fall. Stefani acts as one of the guest advisors for Shelton's team. Recently, Shelton told Entertainment Tonight that he just likes being with Stefani and going everywhere with her is fun.
