The upcoming Spider-Man standalone film, "Spider-Man: Homecoming," is getting a lot of buzz lately, and one of that are rumors that Michael Keaton is going to play The Vulture in the upcoming marvel superhero movie.

It can be recalled that the initial names that were confirmed in the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" film are Tom Holland (Peter Parker/ Spider-Man), Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/ Iron Man), and Marisa Tomei (Aunt May). According to Deadline, "The Vulture" was the first super villain that Spider-Man came across to during his days as a freelance photographer. It is also said that the antagonist is a member of a team of villains called "The Sinister Six."

On the other hand, although most reports are claiming that Keaton already signed up to be the primary villain of the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" movie, a report on Hollywood Reporter seems to cite the contrary. According to the publication, Keaton has not agreed yet to be the main antagonist of the Spider-Man reboot, but he is reported to be in the final talks to close the deal for the role.

Meanwhile, other rumors are pointing to the possibility that Vincent D'Onofrio will be among the cast of the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" movie. The actor is said to play his famous role in Netflix's "Daredevil" series, Wilson Fisk, a Kingpin and a super villain in the Marvel world. The character was reported to appear in "The Amazing Spider-Man" chapter 50.

In addition, D'Onofrio gave a statement about the rumor in his twitter account, wherein the actor said that he has not received any offer from Marvel. Despite of that, D'Onofrio made it clear that if he would be chosen to play his role in the big screen, he would certainly be delighted.

As of the moment, there is no official confirmation yet relating to the rumors that Keaton and D'Onofrio will appear in the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" movie.
