The "Fifty Shades" movie franchise is getting steamier and steamier, as "Fifty Shades Darker" will attempt to surpass the first film by showcasing longer, more intimate scenes featuring lead stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan.

Johnson and Dornan, who plays Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey respectively, have reportedly filmed longer sexual scenes for the second "Fifty Shades" outing. This also means that they will be showing more skin, and it was even rumored that Dornan may go full-frontal for "Fifty Shades Darker."

In an interview with Us Weekly, Johnson shared her thoughts on filming the sex scenes in "Fifty Shades Darker."

"Well, we're not having actual sex," the 26-year-old actress revealed. "But I've been simulating sex for seven hours straight right now, and I'm over it." She added that working on sex scenes on set is "pretty tedious." With that said, Johnson hinted that indeed more love making will be happening in "Fifty Shades Darker."

The cast and crew are in a race with time to complete the production for both "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed," which they started filming simultaneously starting in February.

It is said that they have completed filming the wedding scene for "Fifty Shades Freed," as a photo of Dornan carrying Johnson during their wedding scene surfaced on the internet. The pivotal helicopter crash in "Fifty Shades Darker" has also been accomplished. This particular near-death experience leads Grey to propose marriage to Steele in Seattle.

"It really is a marathon, and I don't see the end. But hopefully I'll see it soon! It's going really well," Johnson told Yahoo! Movies about the production. The actress also revealed that the second and third "Fifty Shades" films will "level out the emotional aspects of the story, as well as the comedic notes," indicating that the upcoming movies will have funnier, lighter moments compared to the first.

Meanwhile, new cast members have joined Johnson and Dornan for "Fifty Shades Darker," which includes Kim Basinger as Elena Lincoln, Hugh Dancy as Dr. John Flynn, Tyler Hoechlin as Boyce Fox and Bella Heathcote as Leila Williams.

"Fifty Shades Darker" will hit cinemas on Feb. 10, 2017.
