It is a world where emotions are removed from the society. But two people find themselves attracted to each other. Silas, played by Nicholas Hoult, felt the emotions and was drawn to Nia, played by Kristen Steward.

The movie titled "Equals" was released in the U.S. on Thursday, May 26, exclusively on DirectTV Cinema. If you haven't been in the cinemas yet, below is a sneak peek of the sci-fi film with Nicholas and Kristen trying to hold and suppress their emotions, as shared by People.

In the clip, Stewart and Hoult sit across from each other. The character of the 26-year-old actress, Nia, tells Silas, "We can't do that. It can't happen, you know that." She also tried to reassure him that they only have to get the cure. But their feelings were too strong to quash and they had their first kiss.

Stewart and the 26-year-old actor had a scene in a bathroom stall, where they were only whispering and barely interacting. Until they start touching, feeling and going on with that kiss, and later on to lovemaking. The film could be nominated, if not bag, MTV's Movie Award for Best Kiss, Yahoo! bets.

"Equals" director, Drake Doremus, shared with ET, "We carefully structured the shoot so that the bathroom scene was the first time they really touched in the film and really touched when we were shooting," as reported by the publication. "It was this release and this feeling. What happens in the film was really happening on set."

Doremus also said that during the filming of the said scene, Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult looked like they were losing themselves and were into it. The two stars of the romantic sci-fi movie have great chemistry on screen. That's why it did not come as a surprise that the two were linked in real life and rumors made rounds that their exes (Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson) became jealous. Of course, they all said the rumors are not true.

"Equals" started filming in 2014 and is slated for a limited theatrical release on July 15.
