Built upon the success of their flagship smartphone line last year, ASUS has now unveiled their new Zenfone 3 roster which includes the base model, Zenfone 3 Deluxe and the gigantic Zenfone 3 Ultra.

ASUS revealed their new Zenfone 3 smartphones at the recent Computex 2016 event in Taipei after several weeks of teasing and leaked details regarding the new models. All three Zenfone models look improved compared to the last year's Zenfone 2 line.

Instead of the plastic build, the new phones now have an aluminum base. It is definitely stronger and sturdier than before.

The Zenfone 3 Ultra is the largest among the three with its large 6.8-inch LCD screen with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080. It is powered by a 4600mAh battery, Snapdragon 652 and up to 4GB of RAM, The Verge reported.

Other outstanding features include a 23-megapixel rear camera and a USB-C 3.0 connector with DisplayPort support. The move to the USB Type C connector means that ASUS is ready to adapt to change in the smartphone industry.

Perhaps the most powerful smartphone out of all the three is the Zenfone 3 Deluxe. It has a 5.7-inch 1080p screen which is powered by Super AMOLED technology, CNET has learned.

The phone is also powered by the high-end Snapdragon 820 SoC from Qualcomm. It also sports a large 6GB RAM, which is also the rumored spec for the upcoming Samsung GalaxyS8.

In terms of storage, the Zenfone 3 Deluxe can go as high as 256GB. It also has the same 23MP rear camera found in the Zenfone 3 Ultra smartphone.

The basic model has the standard 5.5-inch LCD screen and also a Snapdragon 625 processor.  It has a lower 16MP rear camera and 8MP for the front which is also the same for the other models.

Unfortunately, it is still stuck in USB 2.0 but it does have 4GB of RAM and the internal storage is rated at 64GB. It also has a 3000mAh battery plus a fingerprint sensor which will come in handy for Android Pay.

ASUS has not announced the release dates for the new phones but they are expected to be shipped on June. The base model starts from $249, the Zenfone 3 Deluxe will be more expensive at $499 and the Zenfone 3 Ultra costs $579.
