Future Trunks will make his debut in "Dragon Ball Super" in Episode 47 titled "New Chapter" as the plot synopsis revealed the Future Trunks will visit Son Goku, Vegeta and their friends and families after their encounter with the powerful android Cell during the "Cell" saga. Trunks returns to the past for a reason as peace would have been achieved in his future, but something has happened and he needs their help once again, Attack of the Fanboy reported.

Based on the synopsis, it seems that Future Trunks came back to warn Son Goku and the rest of the Z warriors of a new threat in the form of Black Goku, an alternate version evil version of Son Goku.

It is not yet known what Black Goku looks like or how powerful he is as several rumors and theories revealed that he is from far distant future from about 20 to 50 years from Future Trunks' current timeline. His presence will not only alert Son Goku and Vegeta, but the Gods of Destruction Beerus and Champa and Omini King Zeno will be involved in the arc, proving that he is a very dangerous foe.

A new theory from writer ZeusKing Vibsz revealed that this Black Goku came from Universe 6 and that the Future Trunks in the new arc is not the same person that Goku met in the "Cell" saga that this one came from Universe 6, while another explanation revealed that this Trunks is from the present time. Vibsz supported his claim by saying that Goku from Future Trunks' timeline in "Dragon Ball Z" is already dead.

The theory further revealed that Blac Goku was a Saiyan from earth in Universe 6 and since Beerus wished the planet back after winning the Universe 7 vs Universe 6 tournament in the "Champa" saga, Black Goku has been resurrected somehow.

It is speculated that Black Goku was assigned to earth as its protector, but became grim and slowly changed his attitude from being a heroic figure to a killing machine as he slaughtered everyone on earth. Vado caught his attention and convince him to fight in the tournament involving all 12 universes, but Black Goku instead killed everyone including the Gods.

This lead to that universe's Trunks to travelback from the past and warns them about Black Goku's destructive power, Otaku Kart reported. The "Future Trunks" saga will be shown on June 12.

"Dragon Ball Super" returns next week on Fuji TV.
