“Descendants of the Sun” star Song Joong-ki is an actor, top commercial model and favorite fashion magazine cover. If he still has the time, he can wear another hat as wedding MC.
Soompi reported that the 30-year-old Hallyu star, the most popular actor now in South Korea and China, came second in a recent survey as choice of Koreans to be their wedding MC. Song Joong-ki got 36 percent of the votes.
Yoo Jae Suk topped the survey with 43 percent of the votes. The poll was conducted between May 6 and 23 by a matchmaking service. It had 403 unmarried men and women as respondents.
The survey company said, “With his gift for speaking and his sense of wit, Yoo Jae Suk was a top choice not just among women, but men, as well, proving that he’s considered the nation’s MC.” While Yoo Jae Suk does not have the matinee idol looks of Song Joong-ki, and even appears a bit on the nerdy side, he is a professional MC, comedian and show host.
Among Yoo Jae Suk’s credits as host are “Infinite Challenge” and “Running Man” where Song Joong-ki was a cast for several years. He is also known as The Grasshopper because during his early TV appearances, he dressed as a grasshopper.
In third place is Jo Se Ho with 14 percent and in fourth place is Jun Hyun Moo with 5 percent. Song Joong-ki placing second is not a surprise because he became very popular following the airing of the 16-episode blockbuster “Descendants of the Sun.”
But for many women fans, they surely would want Song Joong-ki not only as their wedding MC but also to be their groom. However, despite dating rumors linking him to Song Hye Kyo, he is silent about his personal relationships.
