"The Make Me Like You" singer Gwen Stefani thinks that the rumor that she and her boyfriend Blake Shelton are getting engaged is funny. She cleared up the issue that she is not engaged and is not yet in  a rush to tie the knot with him anytime soon.

In a phone interview with 94.7 Fresh FM on June 1, Wednesday, Stefani addressed the longtime speculation that she is now ready to marry Shelton. When asked by the "The Tommy Show" host Tommy McFLY if she will be wearing an engagement ring on July 17 at the "Jiffy Lube Live," she quickly gave a straight reply.

"Can you imagine the amount of gossip-y, weird stories people make up?" Stefani told McFLY. "To me, it makes me laugh every day."

According to Stefani, she is even googling herself to see what is going to happen next. The mother-of-three admitted that she is taking things one day at a time because everything is unpredictable as of now.

Stefani added that the rumor was hilarious. However, some people may think that the rumor is true. The engagement rumors began hitting the headlines after they were heard constantly talking about their future wedding. Both of them were also keen in sharing that they would love to have their own kids together.

The No Doubt frontwoman finalized her divorce from husband Bush singer Gavin Rossdale in August 2015. They share three children, Kingston, 10, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 2. Shelton was married to Kaynette Gern from 2003 to 2006 and to Miranda Lambert from 2011 to 2015.

Shelton and Stefani confirmed their romance in November 2015. Since then, they have been together in public and have spoken about their relationship all the time.

Meanwhile, the day Stefani gave an interview, Shelton revealed to Rolling Stone how his relationship with the former started. They had a duet in his album "If I'm Honest," which features the song, "Go Ahead and Break My Heart."

For Shelton, it was the most personal album in his career because it was the time that he was mending his broken heart and was also the time that he found Stefani. He said it was a chaos in the beginning and turned out to be something special over time.
