Mystique/Raven is one of the popular characters in the move "X-Men: Apocalypse," a mutant played by actress Jennifer Lawrence. The character is much liked by the "X-Men" series fans, who will get happy beyond their limits if only there was a solo film with the character itself.
Recently, "X-Men: Apocalypse" director Bryan Singer and writer/producer Simon Kinberg talked about the future of the Fox's "X-Men" film franchise and what it might have in store for its fans, according to Comic Book. As per the interview, the franchise might be planning to make solo films on a couple of more "X-Men" characters.
It it was only the director who had the choice to select a character for the solo film, Singer says that he would choose Mystique/Raven. He further said that he would like Lawrence to play the role of the shapeshifting, blue-skinned mutant again.
Despite rejecting the opportunity to become a heroic symbol among other forms of mutants, Mystique becomes the battlefield leader of the X-Men by the end of the recent movie, "X-Men: Apocalypse." According to Singer, the franchisee might want to take this outlook to build a solo movie on this character "just because everyone knows about mutants doesn't mean they like them."
While it is still not clear whether Lawrence would fetch a Mystique spinoff or not, the actress wished to possess the mutant and shape-shifting powers for real.
The "Joy" actress would like to use her mutant powers in real life to disguise from the real world, according to the Chicago Sun Times. According to her, this would be perfectly suited for an escape from the papparazzi that follows her everywhere.
"No, I need the power to totally turn myself into whomever I'd like on a particular day, and then everything would be so much simpler - both for me and my family and friends," the actress said.
In "X-Men: Apocalypse," the most primitive and powerful mutant, Apocalypse, awakes after thousands of years to discover that the world has become completely opposite to what he wished it to be at the first place. Therefore, he collaborates with other mutants to destroy the mankind and create a world that he could dominate. Meanwhile, Mystique acts as a leader of the X-Men group who is set to prevent the planet from destruction.
