"Game of Thrones" Season 6 episode 7 turned out to be a dragon and White Walker-free episode as it followed the storyline of Arya Stark, Margaery Tyrell and Samwell Tarly while Jon Snow and Sansa Stark were shown on their mission to reunite North. The highlight of the episode, titled "The Broken Man," is undoubtedly the return of the Hound, Sandor Clegane (Rory McCann), whom Brienne of Tarth nearly beat to death at the end of season 4.

It turns out that The Hound is actually still alive and living with a church group in the woods. While he seems to be still a bit prickly, Ian McShane's holy man character, however, tries his best to break through to him by reminding him that he has already been punished for his sins when he took the brutal beating from Brienne.

At Westeros, High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce) directs Queen  Margaery (Natalie Dormer) to get physical with King Tommen so as to produce an heir to their new holy monarchy at the earliest. He also hints that her grandmother is a sinner who also must be converted.

Margaery pays  a visit to Lady Olenna (Diana Rigg) under the nose of the septa who follows Margaery everywhere around. The popular theory that Margaery is only faking her newfound devotion to the Seven seems to gets confirmed when she hints at  Lady Olenna to leave King's Landing and passes her a crumpled note containing a rose, symbol of House Tyrell.

Before Olenna leaves, she is visited by Cersei (Lena Headey) who tries to pursue her to reunite with her. Olenna rejects her proposal by telling her that she has lost.

In the Riverlands, Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Costar-Waldau) tells Blackfish(Clive Russell) to surrender or the Lannister army will lay siege to the castle and all inside will die. The elderly Tully does not agree with Jaime that the war is over.

In the North,  Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) tries to rally the Wildlings to his cause to seize the frosty region. While the Wildlings earlier appears skeptical, Tormund speaks up for Jon and everone follows his lead. Jon and Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) try to coax the Mormonts of Bear Island, who is led by Lady Lyanna Mormont, a tough-talking fierce 10-year-old child.

While both Jon and Sansa fail at convincing Lyanna, Ser Davos (Liam Cunnigham) informs her that the war is between the living and the dead and the dead are indeed coming. While Jon wants to  march to Winterfell now, even with his rabble of 2,000 Wildlings and assorted dozens of northern houses, Sansa does not seem convinced and send a raven, most probably, to Littlefinger.

In Braavos, Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) is attacked by Waif in disguise who in turn stab her with a knife. Arya  tumbles over the side of a bridge and into a river to escape the attack. Meanwhile, the Hound finds that everyone at the septon's camp have been killed.
