"New Girl" Season 5 finale got people talking, as not only did Cece and Schmidt got married, Jess and Sam unexpectedly broke up, and now, people are speculating that a Jess and Nick romance part 2 may actually happen in the upcoming "New Girl" Season 6.
Although it may seem a bit impossible for Nick and Jess to actually get back together, considering that Nick is about to move to New Orleans to be with Reagan (Megan Fox), fans should not lose their hope just yet, as creator Liz Meriwether has a lot to say about "New Girl" Season 6's Jessie and Nick rumor.
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Meriwether spilled that the biggest plot twist of the upcoming season might be Nick and Jessie's romance all over again, but this time, the ex-couple would be reunited "in a new way." Since the only broken hearted one is Jess, the real mystery is how would she get back together with Nick in "New Girl" Season 6 when he's fallen head over heels with Raegan.
Meriwether stated "For me, it's the heart of the show. I knew we were going to come back to it, but we had to figure out a way to get back into it that feels good for the show and the characters and will allow us to have stories." She added "Hopefully that takes us to some new story areas next season. I love the two of them together, and I think this season we did a good job of using the guest stars to be catalysts to the Nick-Jess relationship."
Even if Meriwether dished out some massive spoilers for the "New Girl" Season 6, fans should still keep their fingers crossed with Jesse and Nick's reunion. Fox has not yet released an exact date for "New Girl" Season 6, but it is believed to air later this year.
