Amell stated that he envisioned the crossover as one big "four night event" and is aware that the "Supergirl" TV series takes place from another Earth. Amell added that he is still no sure as to how they will do it, but claim that the idea was so unprecedented that it will make a huge impact on the CW network's history in the television series.

The rumored four night crossover event with all four DC TV series will be the bridge for Oliver Queen/Green Arrow (Amell) to meet Kara Danvers/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist). Amell has been vocal about having a "Arrow" and "Supergirl" crossover since the show featured Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) being in the same room as Kara in one episode.

Amell teased that he wanted to see Supergirl fly and how will David Ramsey's character John Diggle will react to her as a running gag, since he is still freaked out about The Flash's super speed. "Supergirl" cast member Mehcad Brooks stated in an interview that he would love to see a crossover of "Arrow" with the series calling it "amazing".

In other news, "Arrow" season 5 will feature a new hero and villain as new details about them have been revealed.

Amell stated in an interview before that the new villain will be something different and can only be done once when "Arrow" is in its fifth, sixth and seventh seasons. First details were hinted to be called "James" and casting calls described him as in their late-20s to 30s and who comes across as a physical threat. He is also a contemporary to Oliver Queen in the show.

However, the "Arrow" star confirmed that Oliver will be facing rthe Bratva Russian mob during the events of season 5 and several fans hinted that Anatoli Knyazev a.k.a. KGBeast will likely be the leader of the group since he is a member and leader of the Solntsevskaya Bratva, ComicBook reported.

Another hint on the new villain will be inspired by "The Wire's" TV series character Stringer Bell played by "Pacific Rim" star Idris Alba.

As for the new hero, season 5 will introduce a new vigilante in Star City as he is described as a cocksure/reckless ex-Marine, who will be in a recurring role throughout the show. The identity of this new vigilante is still unknown, but it will challenge Oliver's resolve in protecting the city now that he is appointed Mayor of Star City when the show returns and will have a crucial part in his present story, TV Line reported.

"Arrow" will premier its fifth season in the fall of 2016.
