As the Worldwide Developers Conference draws near, rumors on Apple's possible announcements on software and hardware grow day by day. One of these is the Dark Mode feature for the new iOS. Aside from the split screen mode, speculations regarding the Dark Mode's possible incorporation in the iOS 10 has been going on lately.
While Apple has never confirmed any of these, there were teasers circulating lately on what the Apple devices may look like during dark mode. Several concept images from iHelpBR has been posted on their site depicting how it may look like on a system-wide application. The concept images featured how background would appear during dark mode in Messages, Mail, Contacts and more.
The same publication predicted this feature may likely to happen as this is currently being done in the Maps app where the application suddenly darkens once the sun sets. In addition, this kind of feature is not new for Apple as it is already available at OS X since OS X Yosemite was launched. Since then, Apple users have been requesting the Cupertino-based company to feature it in other devices.
Another feature set to be included in the iOS 10 is the split screen mode which has already been launched by rival companies. Though the feature is most likely to appear in the upcoming iOS, its application in the iPhone is still unlikely due to the latter's small amount of screen.
Aside from these features, it is expected that Apple will be bringing a feature that will allow users to remove default apps from their home screen. So apps like the Game Center, Calendar, Voice Memos, Reminders and the like may possibly be hidden, Mirror reported.
Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed he wanted users to be happy by giving them freedom to hide some of their default apps which have been left unused for a long time. This will allow them to disregard these apps especially if they deem it not useful for themselves.
The rumors are still yet to be confirmed during the Worldwide Developers Conference happening on June 13.
