New details and possible spoilers on the "Wolverine 3" spin-off will feature an official title of the movie, Logan's berserker rage and Stephen Merchant's character being teased.
Several rumors are making rounds regarding the possible title for the "Wolverine 3" spin-off starring Hugh Jackman and it will mark his final appearance as the fan-favorite X-Men member Logan/Wolverine in the "X-Men" film franchise.
According to Gamezone, the rumored title name for "Wolverine 3" will be called "Weapon X" as someone they know closes to the project hinted on the name, and although the information is not enough to support the claim, the website assured readers that they are reliable.
"Wolverine 3" is said to be based on Mark Miller and Steve McNiven's comic book storyline "Old Man Logan" as Jackman sports an old bearded look in several behind-the-scenes photos for the film. While Fox has not officially made the announcement that the third spin-off will be name "Weapon X", some fans find it fitting as "X-Men: Apocalypse" featured a more animalistic and unhinge Logan in his Weapon X persona as he slaughtered every soldier in William Stryker's (Josh Helman) facility.
Jackman stated in an interview that comic fans will get to see Wolverine's famous "berserker rage" the last two "X-Men" films and with everyone already saw a glimpse of it during "Apocalypse" film, fans might be treated for more in "Wolverine 3" soon.
In other news, "Hall Pass" actor Stephen Merchant tease comic book fans about who will be his character in "Wolverine 3".
Merchant posted a video on his Instagram account shaving his hair bold and with a caption that says "An Actor prepares" and a #Wolverine3 on it. It is hinted that Mechant's character might be the X-Men shape-shifter Morph, while others hinted that he is part of the cyborg mutant hunters the Reavers and he could be playing Bonebreaker, CosimicBookNews reported.
The Reavers in "Wolverine 3" are one of the many villain groups that Logan/Wolverine will face and they are lead by Donald Pierce (Boyd Holbrooks) as his own security force. The other groups are the Hellfire Club and the Essex Corporation, which were featured in the end credits scene in "X-Men: Apocalypse" getting the data and samples on Weapon X and possibly cloning Logan, thus Laura Kinney/X-23 might appear in "Wolverine 3".
For now, it is unknown as to who Merchant's character will be, but comic book fans are eager to hear more from Fox regarding the film's development soon.
"Wolverine 3" will be release in cinemas on March 3, 2017.
