Uma Thurman is now in the rumor mill as she has been unrecognizable during the premiere of her NBC show "The Slap" in New York City on Feb. 9, Monday. The 44-year-old actress has turned heads when she stepped out with a rather smooth face and a tight smile.

Thurman is known for her natural beauty but during the premiere party, rumors started that she has gone under the knife as her dramatic transformation caused surprise among her fans. However, critics are saying that her make-up might have been a factor for her shocking appearance as she wore a lot of foundation, a bright red lipstick and a slicked back hair.

Mark Norfolk of the Transform Cosmetic surgery told Daily Mail that he believes Thurman might have gotten a blepharoplasty treatment or what is commonly called as eye bag removal. Also, she has been allegedly undergoing regular Botox sessions thus her line-free face.

Another critic from the Glasshouse Clinic, Alison Telfer, said that Thurman has a very chiseled jawline so it might be one of the problems of the actress since the asset can be difficult to manage once one gets older. She added that the actress might have had dermal fillers to make her appear youthful.

According to Time, the new face of Thurman has created a buzz just like that when Renee Zellweger shocked the people last year when she was beyond recognizable. Both stars are being compared online as both have had breakout roles back in the '90s then stayed out of the spotlight for quite a time then made headlines after stepping out with a fresh face.

Other reports noted that Thurman never talked about plastic surgery or other procedures done to her face but she talked about Icelandic Beauty brands or BioEffect that is known for keeping the skin protected and hydrated. She also talked about her own methods of skin care such as drinking gallons of water and macrobiotic diet.

Thurman has not yet commented on the reports about her going under the knife.
