Fans of the "Final Fantasy" franchise have been clamoring for the release of the role-playing game, "Final Fantasy 7 Remake." The release date for the much-awaited remake is out after all; revealing that the fanbase may have to wait a bit longer.

Rumors circulating online hint that "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" may hit the shelves in Q3 2017. Reportedly, the remake will debut in September 2017, a time slot based on the release of "Final Fantasy XV," which is scheduled to premiere on Sept. 30 this year.

While many reports are pointing towards a 2017 release for the remake, the game developer Square Enix may push the title back in 2018. This will allow for the release of "Kingdom Hearts III." The developer is giving "Kingdom Hearts III" a priority since it was announced first, and avid fans have been expecting this game for three years.

Furthermore, releasing for PS4 in Europe and North America in 2017 is "Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age." According to PlayStation official blog, gamers can expect many improvements when they return to Ivalice, including a refreshed combat design and redesigned job system. Latest features added to the game include Trial Mode and The Zodiac Job System, which will make an appearance for the first time ever.

Similarly, gamers should expect to have a "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" that is divided into episodes. Each episode will release as a full PlayStation game. Previous reports suggested that the split would reflect the "Final Fantasy XIII" trinity that was divided into three episodes.

Meanwhile, rumors suggest that the game developer is currently working in conjunction with Riva Digital to put up an animated 3-Dimension ride based on "Final Fantasy 7," according to Attack of the Fanboy. Since Square Enix is yet to confirm this information, fans will have to remain patient to see the reported 3D ride based on the original game.

Therefore, "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" will have multiple episodes supplemented as DLCs. The official teaser for the remake reveals changes to battle and exploration. However, details on new mechanics, what Square Enix may change, or sustain still remain unknown.
