Furthermore, the trailer reveals that the Pokedex, a device that serves to keep information on the encountered and captured Pokémon, will come with new features, according to iDigital Times. The publication added that the Pokedex would be a journal to keep track of quests in the upcoming game.

The sneak peek unveils that the Pokémon called Rotom will merge with the Pokedex. In the past games like "Pokémon Diamond and Pearl," Rotom was known to have the ability of merging with common household objects. However, in the upcoming "Pokémon Sun and Moon," Rotom will merge with the Pokedex, giving it a few improvements.

As seen in the teaser, the new Pokedex will converse with the gamer. It is unclear whether the conversation capability is built into the Pokedex and then improved by Rotom or it is entirely because of its powers influencing the device.

The Pokémon Company as well revealed that the new Pokedex would have the capability to show gamers their current location and the next destination, functioning as a map, according to Pokémon official website. This implies that gamers will receive a map as soon as they get the Pokedex.

In addition, Rotom Pokedex has the ability to give tips on how a player can reach the next location based on the information provided to them by those they have interacted with in the game. If this turns out to be true, rumors suggest that the Pokedex will also keep track of sub-quests. This ability will help gamers to remember details with regard to smaller activities they have undertaken along their journey.

"Pokémon Sun and Moon" is scheduled to release for the Nintendo 3DS on Nov. 18. Here is a sneak peek for more information on the upcoming game.
