It about five years since Bethesda released "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" back in 2011, and now fans are clamoring for the release of the sixth installment in the franchise. Fans expect to have some information about "The Elder Scrolls 6" during the imminent Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 slated for June 14-16. However, latest rumors suggest that the game developer is instead working on a remastered version of "Skyrim."
In case Bethesda has chosen to go ahead with a remastered version of "Skyrim," it will take much time and effort, according to a fan's discussion via Metro. If the remastered version will come out, the game may release for PS4 or Xbox One in addition to having better graphics.
In response to the fan's comment, Metro said, "That's exactly what we thought, which is why we largely dismissed the rumors when we first heard them. There's still no proof it's real, but if it is we guess there must be enough remasters nowadays that making them has become its own mini-industry."
Earlier reports had it that "The Elder Scrolls VI" may be released in 2019, hinting that a remastered version of "Skyrim" is not far from now. In addition, since "The Elder Scrolls: Online" was released recently, the game developer may consider not overshadowing it with a new sequel now.
However, other rumors suggest that Bethesda may still be concentrating on one of their major titles, "Fallout 4," especially with the inclusion of post-release content, News Every Day reported. "Fallout 4: Far Harbor" DLC was just released and a new expansion pack is reportedly on the way.
As fans wait for more information on "The Elder Scrolls 6," they can sit back and enjoy the new expansion pack that is almost releasing for "The Elder Scrolls: Online." The DLC is called "Dark Brotherhood" and it is scheduled to release on June 14. For now, fans can only hope that Bethesda gives good news about the sixth installment during E3 2016.
