It would not be hard to notice the tall, blonde figure, particularly to fans of "Game of Thrones" -- Gwendoline Christie has been spotted filming a scene alongside actress Elizabeth Moss in Sydney.

GoT's Lady Brienne and the "Mad Men" star were shooting early in the morning on Foster Street in Surry Hills for the second season of "Top of the Lake," The Sydney Morning Herald reported. Christie was wearing a police uniform, complete with bullet-proof vest, while Moss (Detective Robin Griffin) was clad in a black suit. The hit TV thriller is directed by Jane Campion, an Oscar-winning New Zealand producer, screenwriter and director.

"I am so delighted to be working on Top of the Lake season two. Jane Campion has been a major creative influence throughout my life and I could not feel more privileged to be working on the next installment of her unique and enthralling drama, alongside the brilliant Elisabeth Moss," Christie, 37, said according to the publication, citing a statement from BBC.

The production team of "Top of the Lake" has been shooting scenes in Sydney over the past month and other high-profile names were reportedly spotted, including Nicole Kidman, Stuff.co.nz reported. The team will also film some scenes in New Zealand, probably in July in the South Island, according to BBC Worldwide Australia and New Zealand communications manager, Sue Affleck. Affleck has refused to reveal further details so as not to spoil the viewers about the storyline of the TV series.

"Top of the Lake" was first launched in 2013 as a miniseries and it was meant to be just a one-off. Campion herself was surprised with its success and she admitted she was not expecting she would be working on a sequel. "To be honest, I was surprised at how successful it was, and that was the reason everyone wanted to see more so then the idea came to me and I thought, 'I've got to do it,'" the director told News Ltd., as cited by Stuff.co.nz.

While no specific premiere date has been announced yet, the drama series is expected to be released in 2017 on BBC UKTV on SKY in New Zealand. Here is the launch trailer of the first mini-series.
