Apple is still quiet about the iPhone 8 considering that it will not appear until next year with the iPhone 7 getting all the marketing at WWDC 2016 but the rumors are not stopping.

The speculations and rumors surrounding the iPhone 8 make it look like that people should just suck it up and skip the next iPhone release because of the ridiculously good specs. Unfortunately, people will have to wait for more than a year if they wish to buy the 2017 smartphone from Apple.

One of the largest claims by the supposed leaks and rumors is that the iPhone 8 will be sporting an all-glass design for its chassis with just a few metal to support the overall sturdiness of the device. It would be a fresh take on smartphones considering that almost every device on the market look alike in a way or two.

Most of Apple's past and current iPhones sport a minimalist look with metal and aluminum finishes. However, they all look highly similar to each other with the difference only relying on the size change between each generation.

Apple's iPhone 8 smartphone will reportedly sport a curved glass edge on the front and rear of the device, Forbes has learned. It would look similar to the competing Samsung S7 Edge and probably the Galaxy Note 7 Edge too if that device would be released.

Curved edges are becoming a trend in the smartphone industry. Even ASUS is slightly incorporating the design with their 2.5D Gorilla Glass display on their new Zenfone 3 line.

Other specs for the 2017 iPhone include the new OLED display screen from Samsung that Apple will be using on their devices starting next year. The iPhone 8 would then sport a Super AMOLED display screen, Valuewalk reported.

The phone would also reportedly get an ultrasound fingerprint sensor which is expected to be faster and more secure than the current sensors in the market. Apple has filed for a patent for the tech and it could make an appearance in their next smartphone.

Apple is not expected to reveal the iPhone 8 until next year but the upcoming iPhone 7 at the WWDC 2016 could be a good reference of what the company will be offering in 2017. Pricing and release dates will be revealed later on.
