Game of Thrones fans will be glad to see Jon Snow actor Kit Harrington in the upcoming Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare as the key villain in the video game's main story.

The new Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has been receiving negative feedback from the community because of a different direction the game is heading to. However, Game of Thrones' Jon Snow might just save the upcoming first person shooter from Activision.

Activision recently announced that Kit Harrington will be "the face of the enemy" in their new COD sequel. Details are still scarce but there is a possibility that he will be featured in game just like the previous COD game in 2014 that featured Kevin Spacey as the bad guy.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare narrative director Taylor Kurosaki said in a statement that Kit "immersed himself" into the role, Polygon has learned. He goes on to say that he embodied the Settlement Defense Front, which will be the main antagonizing force in the video game.

Jon Snow recently made a comeback in Game of Thrones which makes the Activision announcement timely. Harrington could be a great addition to the game, whose trailer already has more than 2.8 million dislikes since it was released last month.

"Our story is about an epic showdown of opposing forces, and Kit immersed himself into the role and truly became the embodiment of the enemy, the Settlement Defense Front.  We can't wait for fans to see Kit play an entirely different kind of character," Kurosaki said in a press release.

Film Director Guy Ritchie has also been hired to work with the Game of Thrones star for the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare game, Forbes reported. He has already worked on a live trailer for COD: Black Ops 2 in the past which makes him a good fit for the new sequel.

Activision is set to release Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare on November 4, 2016. Game of Thrones star Kit Harrington, who plays Jon Snow in the popular HBO series, could make an appearance in the game itself as a villain as there has been already a video where he is acting in a motion capture suit.
