Microsoft already hinted before that the upcoming E3 will be a special one for the company. Long-time fans have interpreted the statement intriguing, speculating a new console is up for launching.

Although Xbox One is selling more than the Xbox 360, its figures are still trailing behind its rival, Sony's PS4 console. The situation may call for Microsoft to do some catching up by launching of a new flagship, Venture Beat reported.

The same report also stated that previously announced games will be part of the discussion in their pre-E3 event. Games like "ReCore" and "Crackdown 3" are anticipated along with a handful of never before hinted games, and probably a new hardware.

Xbox One Slim, code-named Edmonton is said to be 40% smaller than the standard Xbox One. An image was released by NeoGaf where it can be seen the Xbox One Slim colored in white. It was stated that the new console will support 4K video, 2TB of hard drive and HDR, Kotaku reported.

Meanwhile, another upcoming console from Microsoft is the Xbox One Scorpio which also rumored for launching in E3. However, the chances are slim because Microsoft may want to focus on Xbox Slim.

Other rumors surrounding Microsoft is the launching of several games like "State of Decay" developed by Undead Labs. Since the said game had been a hit for Xbox One in 2013, a sequel is reportedly being lined-up for announcement. Other games speculated for another installment includes "Dead Rising 4," "Forza Horizon 3," and "Sea of Thieves."

The pre-E3 event is scheduled to happen on June 13, 9:30 AM Pacific Time on Los Angeles. Watch a preview of Xbox One Slim leakage.
