Hosts of the Nintendo Treehouse Live event on E3 2016 try out the upcoming localized version of "Dragon Quest VII" on the Nintendo 3DS.
"Dragon Quest VIII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past" on Nintendo 3DS will finally get localized thanks to the western fans who begged for it. The game was also rebuilt from the ground up for the recent handheld console.
According to Siliconera, the video game that was originally only in Japan was revealed recently during Nintendo's Treehouse Live at E3 stream, that it will be brought to the West on the handheld console. The game company changed their mind due to the strong feedback the fans gave, especially from the group of core players from France that sent letters to Square Enix and Nintendo, and they asked for the two companies for a localized version of the game for the western gamers.
This new version of the game, which was ported to the handheld console system, has been rebuilt and has new features for new and old players to enjoy. They will be able to customize their parties from more than 30 vocations to have the best party to play throughout the game, according to Gematsu. They can also level up in battles, which are turn-based so that their characters can learn new spells and abilities.
Players will be able to experience a world that they will shape as their characters back and forth in time. They will also see the iconic cast of characters and monsters that were designed by the popular manga and game artist Akira Toriyama. If they activate the StreetPass feature, they will be able to get some bonuses like traveler's tablets that will allow them to explore new dungeons, which have rare monsters and equipment.
This video game was first released on the PlayStation One in 2000 in Japan. In 2013, it was then ported to Nintendo's recent handheld console system, but it was not released outside the country. The game company was reluctant at first to release the video game outside the country, but that changed with the fans. The company has now announced that it will be released in the United States and Europe on Sept. 16 for their handheld console system.
